Terms of Service

Zero2NetZero helps you capture energy and emissions data, understand which UK reporting obligations are likely to apply to your organisation, generate disclosure documents (such as SECR data, Carbon Reduction Plans, SME emissions disclosures and evidence packs), and plan emissions reductions.

We may add, change or withdraw features as the service develops. Where a change materially reduces what you have paid for, we will tell you in advance.

Zero2NetZero supports your compliance work — it does not replace it. Outputs are prepared from the data you provide using published methodologies and UK Government (DESNZ) conversion factors, and every figure is designed to be traceable, but we do not warrant that any output satisfies a particular legal obligation, procurement requirement or assessment scheme.

Nothing in the service is legal, financial, tax or audit advice. Eligibility indications (for example around SECR or ESOS thresholds) are guidance based on the figures you enter. Review outputs — ideally with your accountant or adviser — before submitting them to a regulator, customer, lender or assessment platform.

• You must provide accurate information at sign-up and keep your credentials secure.
• Company admins control who can access their company data by inviting members and assigning roles (admin, contributor, viewer). You are responsible for the access you grant.
• You must have the right to submit any data you upload, including supplier contact details and the content of invoices and bills.

You own the business data you put into the service — emissions entries, documents, supplier information and generated outputs. You grant us the licence needed to host, process and display it for the purpose of providing the service, including the AI-assisted features described in our Privacy Notice.

You can export your outputs at any time. On termination, we will delete or return your data in line with the Privacy Notice retention terms.

Document extraction and the Copilot assistant use third-party AI providers to process content you submit (for example, uploaded bills or questions about your position). Extracted data is always subject to your review before it is committed. AI outputs can contain errors — check them as you would a colleague’s draft.

• Do not attempt to access another organisation’s data, probe or disrupt the service, or use it to store unlawful content.
• Do not misrepresent Zero2NetZero outputs as independently assured or certified.
• Supplier data request links are for genuine supply-chain requests only.

We aim for high availability but the service is provided "as available"; maintenance and third-party outages can interrupt it. [Describe any service levels or support commitments here.]

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, or losses arising from decisions or submissions made in reliance on outputs without independent review; and our total liability in any 12-month period is capped at [the fees paid in that period / £X].

You can stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, with notice where reasonable. Clauses that by their nature should survive (data, liability, governing law) survive termination.

We may update these terms; material changes will be notified in the application or by email, and continued use after the effective date is acceptance.

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
